I love diesels, but I just don’t see how one would work in the Miata. I think part of its playful, skittish nature is being able to string out the revs, and you really can’t do that in a diesel.
Weirdo. Welcome to the club.
RC-cars are still human-controlled. These will be human-controlled only in the sense that humans will write the algorithms that they run on.
Nowhere near finished with the article, but glancing over the website, they spend most of the time on their Koenigsegg page talking about this great Thule roof rack that makes the car SO PRACTICAL!!! I mean, yeah, that’s why I want a Koegnigsegg, too...
Ahh no worries. Commenting on stuff in Kinja does seem to be unusually difficult.
Ahh, all cool facts, but I’m afraid that I’m missing your point? I do realize that Hyundai and Kia used to be separate, sorry if my post didn’t make that clear.
Ahh rats... I must have missed the universal weeping and gnashing of teeth by all auto enthusiasts!
Ahh that fits. It looks like the tariffs were lifted in 2011, according to this NYT article:
I wonder if this trend has been the case for a long time, or was there more variety in marques before Hyundai and Kia became more competitive with other marques? Mercedes is designed to fight BMW?
This thing should be $500 at most, not $800.
Ohh, so you’re saying that they would provide the ECU and VW would load whatever code they want to use onto it — and in this instance, that code just happens to also come from Bosch? I guess that makes sense, since not every automaker who uses Bosch ECUs is also going to use Bosch software.
Ha, I was unclear... should have said *good* original design.
Good point :-)
Oh Bosch, say it ain’t so!
Exactly my thought! Can’t Lincoln come up with one original design?
I know that on the forums we often do, just because typing “Mercedes” or “Mercedes-Benz” over and over again gets tiring, just like people shorten “manual transmission” to “MT”.
That’s why it’s a second car for many.
