i am conflicted on this. on one hand prisons shouldn’t be so aweful that they drive people to suicide. however, how cushy do you make prisons? to the point they no longer serve as a deterant to crime? if prisons were amazing why wouldn’t a homeless person commit just enough crime to get a place to sleep, 3 square…

this begs the question: despite being called “CORRECTIONal facilities” are today’s facilities really trying to correct inmates in a way that prepares them for life outside or simply to punish them while they do their time then send them back outside in the same position that landed them in jail in the first place or…

and if white people dominated basketball the NBA, the NBA would have a program to increase black participation....but they don’t so.....
