Whatever you intended to post there, Kinja ate it. And probably farted in your general direction afterwards.

It wasn’t as bad as a Scott Morrison press conference but it was up there.

WW84 was average as fuck and such a disappointment.

This was the first of his shows I didn’t love. Maybe just a different target audience though.

I’m an engineer, which means I’m much more a right-brained person than left-brained (although I know those descriptors aren’t all that accurate). But as a right-brained person, I can’t stand movies like The Day After Tomorrow, which tosses all known science to the wind and just makes shit up to fit the plot.

Next project: learning how to spell

Yeah, FX on Hulu carrying both FX’s trove of televised shows and exclusives like The Bear just shows off how much they’re lapping the field in original programming like they’re Steve Rogers running past Sam Wilson. They just crank out one winner after another.

As long as you’re supporting Prey, which is very Native-forward, you should try Reservation Dogs. It’s hilarious and heartbreaking and so so good.

The Bear is a pretty great show I watched on Hulu earlier this week. The Letterkenny spinoff show Shoresy is also a fun show.

i know he wanted to make a Portal movie (he rose to prominence with a really good Portal short in 2011) which would check the “woman meets overwhelming foe” box perfectly but let’s be real... this world isn’t a good enough place to gift us a decently-budgeted, full-length Portal movie

people were bitching up a storm that paul and jessica werent far enough apart in age in the new one to be mom and son. rewatching the original last night got me thinking and kyle mclachlan and francesca annis are only 13 years apart.

Dune was the first movie I have seen in a theater in about 5 years. It was a great one to watch in theater. In Ontario, you have to show your vaccination certificate to get into theaters and even then, there were not many people there.

Can I recommend an app called RunPee? It doesn’t solve the problem of getting up and disturbing people, but it does mean you’ll do so at the point in the movie where it matters the least.

Way to completely misrepresent multiple things that I said, and fill my mouth with your complete fabrications.

Actually, IMAX (the brand) has a shocking amount of control and the rights to exclusives in their certified theaters. I’ve asked about this before and the likely reason that the online release was the 2.35 version is because of IMAX exclusivity clauses in their contract.

You’re right that IMAX is about brand fuckery

“Dune director Denis Villeneuve says the film was designed for IMAX.”

I’ve seen the movie in both IMAX and Standard. You are wrong.

Also: ““It has been dreamed, designed, and shot thinking about IMAX. When you watch this movie on the big screen, it’s almost a physical experience. We designed the movie to be as immersive as possible, and for me, the big screen is part of the language.”

IMAX/Open Matte, Tomato Tomato. It’s clear what I meant.

Dune’s a bit dry.   Thank you

I recently started following the DCCinematic thread on reddit. Woah... I didn’t realize how weird some of these Snyder fans are. They have cult-like attachment to him. It’s baffling since he’s just an average director that sometimes makes OK movies and sometimes not OK movies. There’s nothing even truly edgy, new, or
