Re: the showrunner preemptively apologized yesterday for a science gaffe regarding Cyllene and Ganymede
Assuming they retain their memories of the Framework how will they all deal with their actions there when they return to real life?
Maybe not, but it's an ideal result if she wants to keep tight control on everything from within the simulated universe.
Well, it's possible that Lincoln really isn't really dead, but has been "disappeared" somewhere. They could really mess with Daisy by having him (well, his simulacrum) show up utterly brainwashed by Hydra and using his power to serve them. Since he wouldn't be real there'd be no way to job his memory out of it.
I'm in awe of how they managed to humanize Elizabeth this season. This were hints of that last season when they played her off of Lola, but they've gotten so much better at it now. Elizabeth's brief reminiscence about her horrible childhood and youth reminds us how, despite her faults, she turned out to be a much…
It's the CW. Hot actors and actresses are what they are known for.
The show has been off the historical script since its very first episode (when they gave us a completely fictitious bastard son of King Henry of France. I am astonished they managed to maneuver thiungs after giving us a Darnley who was not a told SOB and hinting that maybe he and Mary could have had a true marriage…
Why? No reason you can't have a small number of non-breeders along with the breeders, especially if the non-breeders (which could also include celibate clergy if such still exist) have important skills. With setting up space colonies you absolutely do not want people breeding without check anyway. It's important to…
Re: a future spacefaring civilization would develop advanced medicine and maybe even genetic modifications to reduce the harm that radiation causes to the body.

Re: , it simply down to the fact women can get pregnant only once every 9 months,
OK, I never got that. I thought Cyllene (I've never heard of it) was the name of the crater he was hiding in, on the other side of Ganymede. But even if it's a tiny moon there would still be some gravitational pull. Things would not just float around in midair indefinitely; they would fall, however slowly, toward the…
Yes, look at the nonsense coming out of DC over our healthcare situation. Congresscritters have great health insurance, courtesy of the taxpayers, and everyone they know does too. They can't conceive of the problems ordinary people, let alone the poor, face in this area— and they also seem unable to understand that…
Science fail: The Rosinante is hovering inside a crater on Ganymede no great distance from the surface. Ganymede is one of the largest moons in the solar system, larger than our moon. The ship may have some way to hover like that, but objects inside it (and Alex) are not in free fall and should still be subject to…
The show is trying to humanize Darnley, who was a total anal orifice in real history. Here he's just a bit of a rogue who cuts corners. I think Kira's role will be to make sure Mary and Darnley's marriage does not work out, and somehow warp Darnley into something like the abusive husband he was.
Well, I make no claims about anything that might happen in the far future (though I do think that perpetual motion machines are as unlikely in 5429AD just as they are now), but unless you are using AI in a very hyperbolic fashion, no, I not wrong about it: we will not see anything with the full range of human…
AI is as much a pipe dream as perpetual motion machines. Computers are very, very, VERY good at what they do— but that's a narrow slice of abilities. Overall, they are less competent to handle themselves than the average centipede.
Well, I disagree that there will be any such studies. No technology is glitch-proof and no technology is scoundrel-proof. If your laptop goes on the fritz you cuss at it but that's that. It's an inconvenience. If a truck with valuable cargo shuts down, the cargo is sitting there unattended and unprotected, blocking a…
