Saw it this weekend. Its pretty forgettable. Of course its even harder to like it given I’ve seen the original and you basically know the story: ghosts appear, nuts who believe in ghosts step in, they make gear, they get HQ, they get admin, they get car, they beat ghosts. Kate McKinnon stands out a bit, but that’s

I agree and applaud George Takei for not taking the easy route and diverging from the origin of the character. It takes authenticity and an honesty to say “look, while its nice you want to honor me, that was never the intention of the creator of the universe, so create something new.” Hats off to you Mr. Takei.

I once listened to a so-called expert problem solver who said the way to solve problems is to start at the basic commonalities between the two sides. For example, could Trump supporters and Non-Trump supporters agree that they both love their children? From there you start to create a dialog and people start to come

Kids are going to find porn too, so let’s just allow them to buy it. Goes for alcohol and tobacco. Why not be enablers for our kids just like we are for hate-filled idiots. Cheap semi-automatic assault rifles for everyone!

All this said, alcohol is emphasized way too much as a prerequisite for fun in our culture. I’m not letting this guy off, he’s a scumbag. But, our society is addicted to a liquid, so much so that its accepted culture to outright say you need a liquid drug to get by. “I need a drink,” “I need a glass of wine,” and so

Silicon Valley leaders are often shockingly dumb considering how much money they have.

Played it last night. Seems like a frenetic mess.

It seems those that do go out of their way to support the big bust (women)/big muscles (men) stereotype are likely doing so to get extra attention. And, really, isn’t getting attention what cosplay is really about anyway? Cosplay is an extension of our Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and the selfie “me, me, me” culture.

Batman 1966 is the most honest of all the movies. It doesn’t pretend to be serious, while creating all these improbable situations (I’m looking at you Dark Knight) or cheesy dialog (I’m looking at you Batman Returns). Its just a kid’s comic book rendition of a superhero.

I have never understood the love for The Dark Knight. It is horribly edited and, as such, seems to take way too many liberties with what is be plausible (i.e. Joker does way more damage than any one person of his abilities/influence could do; its totally unbelievable). Try as I might (and I’ve watched it maybe 4 times

One of my favorite was Rayman Legends. Really really fun!

The Manning brothers were kind of endearing a few years back, but now Peyton’s shilling for big corporations is gross. I’m going to have a hard time watching any game where he’s a broadcaster.

Actually, you could easily make the jump between liking a movie and a president pretty easily. It comes down to “expectations,” whether it be of your friends, the movies you pay your hard earned money for, the electrician you pay big bucks to to fix something the first time, the billionaire CEO, or the president that

Well, a trailer like this fan edit would have done wonders to delay the negative outlooks on the movie. So, while it might have done Hollywood more justice, I think the original edit shows how bad the movie will be with its stereo types, laugh track-worthy gags/dialog, etc. Kate McKinnon seems like the best thing in

I’ve never tried pot or any illegal substance because...why? I don’t need it in my life. It won’t serve any purpose that other, cheaper, more healthy things provide (such as exercise and goofy close friends). Its not going to be some regret, such as “if I only took coke that one time.”

That’s great. It all boils down to whether you are happy with your authentic self (authentic being when your values and your behavior are aligned). I’m not exactly sure why people need substances to “party.”

Drinking alcohol is one of those very odd aspects of society in that we are so enamored with that one liquid to the point that its absolutely necessary to have a good time, blow off steam, etc. And we totally accept that this is who we are even though it makes no sense when you start to pick apart the culture around

I did like Chris Rock’s point about there not needing to be separate men’s and women’s categories for acting. That was a “duh” moment for me. As in I went “duh, that makes total sense, let’s change that.”

Right. The fact that people are making excuses for absolutely horrible human A and absolutely horrible human B, tells you a lot.

For what its worth, I think the movie Almost Famous does a good job illustrating what it was like to be a groupie during the early/mid 70s. It specifically follows underage girls and their relationship to musicians (based on Cameron Crowe’s life as an underage Rolling Stone writer). I highly recommend it.
