It certainly seems like they’ve found their niche making retro-feeling JRPG’s that are disappointing for the same reasons a lot of old JRPG’s were.

At risk of sounding like a snob, I just kinda don’t see what the big fuss was. At a minimum I don’t find them as interesting as the stuff on my list or these honorable mentions. Which isn’t to say they’re bad (I thought GoW and Spider- Man in particular were really fun when I was playing them) but they didn’t stick…
