hes gotta detroit themed track with Danny Brown and royce on his new project, and while i could give a fuck about a eminem verse, more exposure for danny only makes the world better. the lady on the track, dej loaf, isnt too bad neither.
when rap becomes more mixtape oriented you kinda lose out on that album crafting. tho i guess redman and shit was dropping 26 track albums back in the 90s. i should just download third party compilations of southern dudes where the best of the best is culled into one digestible playlist, cuz, for example, i like…
wish exquire and despot would join the others in following through with all the fucking potential they have.
i think thug is awesome, but like a lotta artists in his lane the quality control isnt always there, so you get tapes full of songs where he absolutely snaps, and then shit thats kinda just ehhhh.
i dont think ive heard a full game record since LAX. and i dont think i played that more then twice.
me too, and with ratking and despot ? get outta town. ive seen em twice before but always stuck in the middle of some iffy, electronic heavy bills. them headlining a small club ? i expect them to throughly crush everything in sight.
Both of those joints make me cringe, like almost every other song on that record. I thought the intro was alright tho.
That album has a fair share of stuff I don't like but the highlights are incredible. 3rd favorite cage related record.
that vince staples ep is nice. kids got all the potential in the world.
there are many many rappers that i would want to hear over el p beats before eminem.
ultra consistent in quality and also always evolving his style and making his music tighter and tighter.
its basically the only common record ive listened to more then a twice.
I also liked her on you made it weird. Their discussion of period sex was eye opening.
it makes me wanna throw trucks and drink lava straight no chaser
aw yes, the patriarchal penis having shit lords. a real cornerstone of this article about how as a gay kid dressing up for halloween helped her express herself in a fun and adorable way when she didnt have many opportunities. .
i think its fair to say it helped change hip hop in pretty significant way. the records that Rawkus was dropping at that time shaped an industry for independent and underground rap for the next decade, and this record was one of the tentpoles.
Yea Wanda is really at the forefront of stand up these days.
I think its important that she keep talking about her experience as a gay women, especially in stand up, an occupation not historically known for being a ton of fun for gays or women.
I also like her generally silly humor. It may work better live or on a podcast but it fills me with joy.
