Agreed with all of this. It was also very eary 90's era Star Trek where any form of gun was utterly useless in doing anything compared to melee weapons where you’d have Chakotay shot in the shoulder and the most that would happen is he’d start limping a bit.

Space alligators is ornery because they gots all them space teeth and no space toothbrush.

Let’s go back to the article last week about whether or not “Andor” will make “The Mandalorian” look even worse.

This whole article and you can’t bother to list a single example of a valuable $2 bill?

Newsflash - if your $2 bill is from 1976 and NEWER - It’s worth $2. MAYBE you can convince some sucker to pay more for a CRISP 1976 $2 bill, or if it has a unique serial # (binary, trinary, birthdate) they are worth more but that

I’m not sure this article needed to end with,With any luck, this dismal project will never see the light of day.” I’m sure there’s dozens and dozens of hard-working crew members pouring themselves into this production that would rather have it released than thrown on the scrap heap.

I might be in the minority here but I would probably add the Dark Knight Rises to the list. It suffers the same problems as Godfather III, uninterested director, lazy production values and placing the quality supporting cast in the backseat.

It makes me happy knowing bigots can’t enjoy a fucking thing anymore.

Yeah, I get you.

Instead of arguing with your child, say “Let’s discuss our options.”

I agree with this completely. Part of the fun of comics is that Steve Rogers never gets old, and if he does get old then eventually he gets better. The characters you love, for the most part, stick around forever. You can pick up a Spider-Man comic today and aside from some circumstances in his life, that Peter Parker

well i also think maybe the point isn’t necessarily ‘the content is lower quality’. if you eat the same thing every day you’re eventually gonna get sick of it, regardless of how well prepared it is.

And not just event fatigue, but overall superhero ennui. With both Marvel and DC filling theatres with these characters and stories, it’s becoming harder and harder to find something new to say. After enough existential threats to humanity are presented and defeated, more of the same becomes stale.

I will say Eternals is pretty memorable because its below meh.  Its actively bad

Me too. Every movie post Endgame has been differing levels of meh

I’m excited for this movie but oof, that runtime flies in the face of the straightforward thrill ride that makes these movies so appealing.

I am not a Star Wars guy, but Andor is a major course correction. Disney’s Star Wars properties have mostly been pablum (not surprising given they’re for kids), but Andor actually delivered a tightly structured story that deals with the societal implications of space Nazis.

Nothing is being forced on you. You’re just homophobic.

that must be super fucking hard for you

Why are you regurgitating a myth?

Yeah I had a problem with Melanie Lynskey as well. In fact I could not figure out Jeffrey Pierce looking all mercenary-badass would be following her—or for that matter everyone else. In the discussion after the episode one of the producers describes Lynskey as a “ruthless leader” and something to do with Pierce being
