I’m too young to have actually watched Frasier while it aired, but I always believed, from what little of it I did see, that it was probably the most boring show ever made. The show had a real stuffiness to it.

‘Prey’ was good, but better than the original? Not a chance. It didn’t really introduce anything new and since everyone already knows what a Predator is, it didn’t have any of the same mystery/scariness of the original.
Really? Of the thousands and thousands of TV episodes and movies that have been produced in the past 17 years, you think a song being used 23 times is the DEFINITION of overused? I’d bet most people haven’t even heard it more than four times (likely in Arrival, Shutter Island, Stranger than Fiction, and now TLoU).…
Ha, I just wrote a comment on how I loved the inclusion of “On the Nature of Daylight” because it really does induce the waterworks, different strokes for different folks I guess. To be fair though, per Wikipedia the song has only been used 23 times in film and TV since 2006 so I wouldn’t call it overused.
Same. Who would have expected that the best episode so far of HBO’s prestige zombie show would have been the one with almost no zombies?
Please also let the record show that my prediction on 11/2 was correct. I just want my gold star please.
My one dream is to one day read the news that Grey’s has finally not been renewed for another season. My wife has been making me watch this with her since we started dating more than ten years ago and at this point both of us agree that is isn’t any good anymore. Once upon a time it had characters that you sort of…
The Netflix series is unwatchable. I don’t think I’d ever seen a show before that was so poorly put together and acted. I only made it through three awful episodes.
I agree with that. I’m a big fan of Tom Cruise movies, he always makes for a good time.
Cruise in Tropic Thunder is basically just an SNL sketch with him in a fat suit.
I don’t disagree, but don’t think he will win going forward. He’s played essentially the same character in every movie he’s done since 2008 (I haven’t seen Rock of Ages, so that could be the lone exception).
That’s true, and he’s also rarely disguised in a costume or under a wig or with facial hair. But I think that other big name actors can still do a better job of being less recognizable. Every time I see Charlize Theron, for example, I only see her as her character despite knowing it’s her. It’s hard for me to really…
Tom Cruise will never win an Oscar because he always just plays Tom Cruise. The stunt work he does is incredible and he makes great movies, but he never disappears into a role and is almost more of a character actor than anything else. My bet is that all he will ever get is a (well deserved) lifetime achievement…
They probably actually mean Keanu. There are videos of him doing firearms training and he is extremely proficient.
I love Nolan but Tenet basically requires subtitles if you want to have any idea what’s going on. I think his worst sound mixing though is in Dunkirk.
But maybe the ship would have just hit a different iceberg which led to the ship sinking even more quickly and more of the passengers dying?
Especially if you drink enough to pass out until the movie is over.
Season 1 was excellent...but please don’t try to make a Season 2.
I know Alien isn’t Cameron’s, but do people generally agree that Aliens is better than Alien? I think Alien is pretty much a perfect movie but Aliens is kind of boring in comparison.
Can I request that all future movie reviews include when the movie opens in theaters or where and when it will begin streaming? I know I can look it up myself but it would be nice to have that in the summary box with the grade and cast.
