a) Major gender blunder: the pregnant man who attended my college graduation ceremony might take issue with your perception that this birth control coverage is only for women. In short: there is NOT *one* gender getting contraception while *one* gender does not.

Everyone is paying for everyone's healthcare...that's the point of insurance, you pool resources so that when people have needs that are covered by that insurance, they'll have them taken care of. It spreads the burden of healthcare costs.

Me, too. :)

If it goes up because of the *BIRTH CONTROL* mandate (beats me why you're talking about anything else), then it will rise to the real cost of full health coverage of all systems/body parts of people with uteri. I imagine my health insurance could cost less if healthcare relating to penises weren't covered, but since I

Interesting, because the birth control mandate absolutely is not "taxpayer funded prescriptions", since all it does is make the overall cost of health insurance cover the cost of birth control, so that there is no *additional* cost via a copay. Look: no taxpayers, and it's still not free!

The birth control mandate does not, in fact, make it "paid for" by taxpayers. It only makes birth control fully covered by the health insurance *that people pay for*, at no *extra* cost via an additional copay. There are no taxpayers in that equation, nor is the birth control free—it is simply included in the overall

EXACTLY. No one gets access to my uterus or nutrients without my permission, and no one should be able to force that to happen.

Another DC metro rider here, and yes, this incredibly irritating!

My allergies might be a little past mild, but I have heard of allergy shots, and I'm definitely interested in looking into it!

Huh. It sounds like maybe you shouldn't be at events that bill themselves as discussions about those topics...which is where the things the author is talking about happened.

Ugh, I've been somewhat allergic to cats always, and I also really love them!

Others have echoed this, but I would suspect that the giving the wife your coat thing has more to do with the fact that this is the person you are married to, rather than the fact that your spouse is a woman.

I dunno, the pregnant man who attended my graduation ceremony sort of messes up your argument.

Exactly. :)

Yes, this.

Yes, good.

The murder of Kassandra Perkins by Jovan Belcher.

The pregnant man who attended my graduation ceremony would beg to differ, I'm sure.

22 year old over here who usually feels the same way. And we (you and I and everyone else who's replying in solidarity) are fantastic. :)

I'm sorry to see a favorite go, but good luck!
