Really? The entire history of popular music to chose from and this is what they came up with?

Hungry Heart - Out in the Street - Crush on You is a pretty great run on The River.

My high school self absolutely agrees with you.

Any three consecutive songs from Purple Rain.

Rush’s Moving Pictures. “Tom Sawyer”, “Red Barchetta”, “YYZ”. Although really you should keep going on to “Limelight” to close out one of the greatest Side Ones in rock.

Screw him. Sorry, but he lost his temper and killed a woman.

Gee, it’s shocking that a sportswriter who’s already once been fired for plagiarism and has a long history of writing insane things might not have the strictest standards when it comes to vetting his sources.

PEOPLE👏CAN👏NOT👏SAY👏NIGGER. PERIOD. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION. THEY CANT DO IT.

I fixed that for you.

If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s the Nets shitting the bed down the stretch so that pick is as good as gold.

4 players on the Cavs were better than Kyrie? That would be the hot take to end all hot takes.

If he were black do you think in that context he should use “nigger” or “n-word.” And where do you stand on non-black POC using the word?

Kyrie Iriving’s laughter could be heard echoing off the great ice walls at the edge of all things.

Just goes to show you that if you ignore the small problems, they can catch up with you.

Not to be troll-ish but what if someone was offended by your use of “nigger”? Your proper quotation doesn’t un-say the word.

The word is a real word and there is no better context of actually saying a “bad” word than during a discussion about said “bad” word. Should they have discussions and only be able to say r-word, c-word, b-word, f-bomb and the like? These are supposed to be adults. Treat them like adults.

Yes, I’m sure this guy designed an entire course simply so that he could say nigger on the sly...

Yes there is, actually. The logical argument is that they are adults in a college class discussing adult subject matter and tempering that subject matter defeats the ostensible purpose of the class.

In any other context, I’d side with the kids. But Princeton is supposed to be where the social and intellectual elite is educated and prepared for the burden of leading the world and this was literally a class about hate speech. If this isn’t the class to discuss challenging and controversial issues, uh, what is?

The irony of students taking a class literally called “Cultural Freedoms: Hate Speech, Blasphemy, and Pornography” and then getting upset to the point of walking out based on the use of a word is staggering.
