Should’ve won or been nominated for “Do The Right Thing”, this latest one was only ok IMHO. He’s had a handful of head-scratcher movies he’s made though: She Hate Me, Girl 6, Oldboy.

I feel like Close will win it mainly because it feels like “Oscar overdue” and the #MeToo movement combined and would make good Oscar drama. I really think Gaga was fantastic in ASIB, and she may never see another shot, whereas Close has been working steadily her entire career IMHO.
