For the record, Eurogamer obviously doesn't hire me to draw fanboy fire; they let me review games that I'm interested in. I was one of the bigger fans of the original Force Unleashed, so I signed up for it long before the review copy arrived and made clear that LucasArts half-assed this one, and it was a small ass, at

The ellipsis indicates that there's more to come, so the final review doesn't get one. Sharp eyes, though.

I don't get the unkind words, either. If you didn't think the game was worthwhile, you shouldn't have signed up to write about it.

I contributed to that massive tome, and the reviews were in fact written specifically for the book. I'm not going to argue with the qualms about the 1,001 games chosen; I think your concerns are pretty reasonable. (I simply chose some games from a pre-determined list.) It's probably best not to take the 1,001 Best

No worries, TCK, I kind of remembered it that way, too.

This was bothering me, so I went back and pored over the footage. It turns out that the London A-Z book was indeed in both men's apartments. Here's a screengrab of the scene in Van Coon's apartment (with a big red arrow added to highlight the A-Z book):

Me either. Part 1 was so bad. That was one of the most painful reviews I've had to write.

I think the location of the hideout was the last piece of information encoded on the ciphers that Watson photographed at the train yard.

I also found Dogmeat to be more of a pain in the ass than anything. I didn't like companion play anyway in Fallout 3. But I love playing with ED-E in FNV. He doesn't get in the way and doesn't run his mouth; just plays a little tune when he's about to dispense some laser justice. And if he "dies," no biggie, I can

Jorge, that thought didn't occur to me at all, and it is indeed brilliant. And agreed with the rest of the thread that the Legion is really intimidating. Even early in the game, the writing does a great job of conveying the sense that they are perched right outside your view, ready to lay waste to the few remaining

I don't think they sent Christian the drums. But here is my paltry substitute for an official review: The drums are awful.

I reviewed the game on PS3, leeharvey, and then went back and started over on 360 because the PS3 load times were driving me crazy. They are noticeably shorter on 360 if you install the game to the hard drive. The framerate problems are much reduced, as well.

Yes, definitely. I had the same reaction you did — it's a marvel that they were able to pull this off. But fortune favors the bold every time.

Watson as the ur-fanboy. I like it.

I hear what you're saying re: the texting assistant, Mythagoras, and I think that's what they were going for, but it wasn't played very well. Rather than a charge, I just felt like the whole thing fizzled because the actress just had this blank Blackberry-zombie visage on her face the whole time, and it was clear from

Wow, thank you for that very kind comment. You picked a good season to jump on board. It really has been a lot of fun. Even a merely decent episode like this one has plenty of good moments.

No, I got the idea from you! And whipped up the side-by-side to pay tribute to that brilliant observation.

I love it. For your perusal:

I love the show, too, and I would certainly welcome the opportunity to cover it regularly, but it's not in the weekly-recap mix right now. Maybe next season.

This installment was just delayed a couple weeks for logistical reasons. (I was out of the country.) I should have warned you guys.
