I am heading out at the moment, but when I get back, I'll do a full brain dump from my ~30 minutes with the game.

Monaco isn't available to the public yet, alas.

Yes, it's more like 2.5-D. I rounded up. And Hecker didn't want to criticize directly because he wanted to be very rigorous. But the talk brought into serious question the notion of whether or not achievements were really good for gaming in the long run, or if they were "eating away at games from the inside," in his

Cool, thanks for weighing in, everyone. David's hitting Go With The Flow and the Wii one; I'm going to Environmental Storytelling and Achievements. "Crowdsourced" coverage! Is this the Web two-point-oh stuff I've been hearing about?!

Choices
David and I have a bunch of overlapping sessions to choose from this afternoon. Anything in particular you all would like to hear about?

The indie portion of the show is now pretty much over, GQ, (except for the IGF awards tonight), so now the big boys come out to play. For instance, I'm seeing Civ 5 in about an hour. Very much looking forward to that.

There will be a drum set, but no word yet on whether it will be actual drums or not.

I don't remember the thesis in vivid detail, but I'm sure that I would still stand by it. The work I did in college and grad school formed the foundation of how I approach games.

First 15 hours: Hope. Everything thereafter: Vannile. But I would throw the dumpster into a black hole, and then I would jump through the back hole, which presumably allow me to travel back in time so that I could prevent either of them from ever existing, ever.

Yes, I'm about to file it, and it will appear next Monday.

Thanks! These comments mean a lot. (Really.)

That's a good list. I think I'd go, in no particular order, Perry, Trebek, Kennedy, Barker, Cullen, Clark. I know that's six.

Jim Perry can do no wrong. He was great on CARD SHARKS, sure, but man did he do a mean speed round on SALE OF THE CENTURY.

The justification for this review is that it seemed like it would be fun. I don't know what a "definitive videogame review site" is, but it sounds awful.

The fact that something was off your radar for purchase doesn't mean it's not worth talking about. Zugzwang pretty much nailed why we found this one interesting. It's also worth noting that the Imagine series is a juggernaut on the Wii and DS — after dozens of games, the series has become an undeniable cultural force

Fun With Big Sister
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

The copy of the game that I received from EA included the original poem in book form. The cover had the game's artwork and branding, so I was surprised to open it up and find actual words inside. They're really committed to the illusion, I guess.

I thought about Mass Effect 2 a lot while I was playing this game. The major difference that struck me was that while Mass Effect was an excellent game, there were more obvious opportunities for improvement there than in the original BioShock. So I think that 2K Marin had an unenviable task here. While I think that

There is splicer-killing, and it is good. The action follows the BioShock template to a "T." If you are looking for more of the same, you will enjoy this game.
