If anything, most Ghibli films are recognizably un-Japanese, either taking place in fictionalized vaguely-European settings and/or averting almost all related genre tropes (I'm loathe to say this as I don't consider animation a genre).

I would just like to take this opportunity to plug one of Studio Ghibli's most underrated movies:"My Neighbors the Yamadas", an out-and-out masterpiece that will likely remain ignored because it takes the form of a series of low-key vignettes about family life.

I get that they maybe aren't everybody's taste but I'm not sure you can call 30 years of (at the very least) consistently popular movies "a fad".

It's much more sickening coming from the Swiss press because they are always so proud of FIFA being based in Switzerland and a Swiss dude being at the head of it.

You're right, but the real problem is that Swiss law regarding associations contains this giant loophole whereby groups like FIFA, IOC, etc… do not need to declare profits or be transparent in any way like actual companies would.
