I don't have any particular faith in the GiTS adaptation. I haven't seen GiTS in a while so I can't really speak about how essential/unmovable the Buddhist undertones are or whether they would be ripe for an examination more along the lines of a western perspective.

Again with the fucking Downton Abbey. I've seen 7/8th of season 5 btw and it is just horrendous. I won't go into details but it includes some of the most disingenuous conservative bullshit yet and THE DOG GETS FUCKING CANCER and Bates is apparently NOT a murderer, again.
