Excluding one of his most famous movies....!?!?!

The book was poorly written and boring.  The movie made me physically angry.  It was insulting and dumb and insipid and Jesus Christ I’m getting worked up all over again.

I’ve never read the book (heard it was bad) but I loved the movie.

I didn't care for the book, but enjoyed the flick. The first 15 minutes or so are a narrative mess (too much narration and pop culture overdose, like the book), but once the plot goes into gear, Spielberg finds a nice balance between an interesting story and nostalgic recall. Also does a nice job making the female

I didn’t make it to the end of the book, but the movie is a good time. It’s nothing earth shattering, but it’s fun and has some great set pieces.

Ultraman shoulda been live-action!!!

Sadly there’s a pretty decent chance a sex trafficker grabs it and takes it to the house.

Blogger isn’t a position of power, unless you work on the Commerce Team

Parents on one flight, kids on the other?

The common denominator here is that there’s a structural imbalance of power between men and women, which men leverage into unfair, exploitative sexual encounters. Sure, some men are more exploitative than others (sex crimes versus pressuring a subordinate for sex). And some women are more okay with that than others

Women in videogames are characters in a videogame, and thus come with no expectation of agency whatsoever, unless you’re implying that the singularity has arrived.

If your argument is equity, I can all but guarantee that the ratio of female to male cosplayers featured on Kotaku is greater than one.

And that is because

It’s a pane in the ass when things don’t go as planned.....

That gator would love to make a hole in one................of those deer.

I’m going to go with The Visitor, also Deep Space 9. I’ve shown it to people who have never seen an episode of Star Trek and they weep right along with me. Such an enchanting sci-fi concept and excellently executed. One of my favorite things about the show was the deep connection Sisko had with his son and his crew

33 from BSG. Sorry, can’t find a good clip (here’s the cast below), but it’s masterful pacing and constant tension made me sit up and take notice.

Farscape’s Revenging Angel was very unexpected and super fun. Plus, looney tunes!
