@omgwtflolbbqbye: Strange is also responsible for the Monster Men... which Grant Morrison linked to Bane in his Three Batmen arc at the start of his run a few years ago.

Bane is gonna be a combo of Bane and Hugo Strange. The stories are already very similar except that Strange was only Batman's mental equal, Bane is the Bat's physical match as well.

Sounds like a Batman/Buffy combo. I look forward to this.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say that since most of the Bane stuff was pretty uninteresting in the comics that his backstory and MO will be somehow combined with Hugo Strange.
