could that have been the Mirage tour? probably not if it was ‘80; think Mirage was ‘82ish ... anyway, I had an old VHS of a gig during that tour, and Buckingham’s guitar playing had taken a quantum leap; as you say, his technique allowed him to make it sound as though there were (at least) two guitarists ...
