It was good to see the Tiges get up, I don’t mind Hardwick, so I was ok with seeing them knock off the Swans.

I love O My Soul too, typically amazing guitar work from Chilton and drummer Jody Stephens - however, points deducted as the 2nd half of the song is basically a cut n paste job of the 1st half - love that entire album though, and if forced I reckon I’d choose Daisy Glaze as my fave track ..
Hitting sixes is a *lot* easier now than it used to be, you’re right - the grounds are usually roped in as you alluded to, and the bats are a lot bigger and heavier.
meh, you can say ‘field’, I’ve heard it used before
love a good googly - Mustaq Ahmed and Abdul Qadir, both Pakistani bowlers, were probably the best exponents I’ve seen.
Now you’re talkin’ - the players you mentioned are absolute legends of the game.
sounds like you are pretty across it - knowing the names of the fielding positions is no biggie..
they do try, that’s what makes it so sad .. probably on par with Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in the traditional longer format .. I take no pleasure in saying that; some of my favourite cricket memories are of watching a strong Windies Test team in full flight ..
Fair enough.
It’s a bit of a hollow grudge when these guys don’t actually compete - just slagging each other off to sports journalists is pretty silly.
You’re right of course; it always comes down to the dollar.
It’s an interesting time to be a cricket fan, isn’t it.
that’s a great doco, loved it - of course it chronicles the rise to sheer dominance of West Indies cricket at *Test level*, the real stuff.
Why would Warne even give a shit about what Marlon Samuels had to say?
T20 really is a horrible mutation, nothing in it for the bowlers whatsoever, might as well have a machine flinging them down.
