nice.

Absolutely.

I absolutely loved it.

That's a pretty romanticized ideal to cary around.

If you haven't seen Deathrace 2050 yet, get yourself over to Netflix. It is a great, unpredictable and hilarious movie, and he is perfect in it.

That's the problem with the show, I already know how most of these characters' arcs end. I don't really need an origin story. The writing and performances are good, but at the end of every episode I thin, I already knew that.

I like that it is about something. So little these days is actually about something. It's all just a repeat of plot points. This show looks at grief, frustration, confusion, doubt, fear, faith, resentment. I don't have enough emojis to describe it.

I took it that the more he talked, the more his internal, honest needs came out. Whether he had faith that Burton was "God" or not, he shifted into talking to God anyway, and then by the end of it, seemed to think, Why not? A little blind faith couldn't hurt. Christopher Eccleston makes a character that I wouldn't

I wonder about that too, if it's his Englishness refusing to be tamed.

Marion Cotillard's "Rust and Bone" had a beat for beat scene just like this, but the rescuing and was Matthias Schoenarts, who played very convincing bare knuckle brawler. (That movie was powerfully great)

I kept thinking, couldn't he just jump up and down on the ice? That skinny little red head girl fell right through it.

But we know where jimmy ends up, tied into a worldwide drug ring that brings about a lot of murder and addiction to a vile substance. I would rather this series have been about Saul Goodman, Cinnabon Manager. I don't know how that story ends.

One Wolf

I think he had turned into an alcoholic curmudgeon who was afraid of being discovered, and that aged him. Or it's those Minnesota winters. I am still baffled that he was murdered by having his mouth and nose glued shut. That is just weird. - Other Cohen brothers link, Fred Melemad (spelling?) was in A Simple Man.

Is he?

HEY-OH!

I think Ray is more of a wounded loser than a moron. He got screwed by his brother at a young age and just lived and seethed with that his whole life. Got himself a cute girlfriend, though.

Except that the million dollar "loan" already benefitted their business. I saw it more as statement of fact, a trap with golden bars.

Yes. probably the only municipal building in the town.

I get it in this case, though. he is blindsiding some people who are yokels at heart, and rather than come at ten full force and broken nosed, he is slowly, calmly, convincing them that they are already dead. His teeth are gross, but his accent isn't much removed from how Thewlis speaks in anything else I have seen
