I did have an OCD moment when I realized he wasn't going to get the few bits that were under the bar stools.

Strongly agree with that!
Lynch likes to set up these long shots so that we're trained to expect certain things. Then, later on he'll show a similar scene again, but slightly different. Plus he'll add music or sound to the scenes. He is absolutely BRILLIANT creating dread and suspense from fairly innocuous shots. Lynch…
I love yet another review making sure we know the writer doesn't like the anti trans and homophobic language.
Are the people reviewing these shows THAT dense that the show isn't advocating it and the people saying it aren't in the right on purpose?
This is SERIOUSLY a pet peeve of mine where this freakin site needs to…
If you can't see the difference between what MJA said about Lynch and the unknown reasons for Ontkean not appearing I don't know what to tell you, Anderson had a big ol Fuck You coming to him.
Whoa. You juss blew my mine.
Wouldn't it be a better game with blankets?
Yeah, that was my takeaway too. I usually try to figure out the purpose of the scene instead of just criticizing it or saying it was "off".
I remember watching it the first time thinking it was interminable, and then I grew to love it. Besides, it's one of the best episodes of the series and it kicks in gear once Truman, Hawk and Andy get to Cooper's room.
Blue Rose. Blue Key. Blue Box. And I heard they filmed at Club Silencio.
Creamed corn is basically garmonbozia (Mrs Tremond, "I specifically said no creamed corn") so I'm sure that's why. Well, not SURE. It is Lynch.
Takeaway Before Diving Into Other People's Theories:
I. Am. A. Vis-i-tor.
Meanwhile…
No. The second thing was shocking, brutal, visceral, disturbing, and one of the most audacious, chilling things I've ever seen. I was 14 when I saw it and I'm 40 now and I still get chills.
Just do what Lynch/Frost did with Twin Peaks and bring Walter Olkewicz back as Jacques Renault's twin cousin.
Good. I liked the character well enough for the, what, 2 or 3 episodes she was in, but the internet's whole "Justice for Barb" thing was idiotic. I really dislike when the internet fixates on something stupid and the show feels the need to address it, or placate viewers.
I also think his violence is offset by the wonderful scenes of empathy and love. Janey-E's rant to the small time thugs was wonderful, Cole's "Change your hearts or die!" talk with Denise, Cooper-Dougie's general childlike innocence. The show is saying (to me) that the world is still violent and ugly, but everyone has…
It's a credit to Kyle that I've stopped waiting for Cooper to fully recharge, and just love the gleeful innocence of Dougie. It helps he's back in the black suit, loves coffee, has case files, and is drawn to badges. Not to mention Janey-E went up in my regard after how she handled those small time thugs.
I don't think I've seen this mentioned anywhere but the yellow glow that left the boy that Carl Rodd saw looked like the same shape as the Black Lodge signs Cooper saw over the winning casino machines. Maybe upside down. Could be a connection.
It was credited as ????????? too. I kid.
