I did a rewatch, and I think having the plot already sorted out in my mind helped.

I agree. He was always more under the delusion that he was above the rest of the family, when in fact, he was just like them. Season 4 he just embraced it more.
Mr Banana Grabber!
OK, she's the one who dies.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO JOSIE, COOP??!!"
Just the appearance of BOB and LMFAP when she dies, and gets trapped in wood, was a major connection to the earlier part of the series.
I want Ben Horne to be shady as shit, not cracked up. I didn't like his turn to virtue either. I loved the way Beymer played him as a scumbag too much.
I don't recall that. The only thing it says as far as names is "Laura" and "Leo, no. Leo no."
Cooper's contempt creeps out when he says, "Thanks for clearing that up." He's disgusted, and it shows.
I got the Fire Walk With Me soundtrack just for Sycamore Trees. That song A Real Indication from the scene with Laura and Bobby at the high school is also a great song, with Badalamenti doing the "lyrics".
Yeah, this isn't a show for casuals to just drop in and pick up. Lynch isn't exactly into hand-holding. Get ready for a lot of "I didn't watch the original series but…" questions.
What I liked about the finale was that the entire episode had background music. They used a never used (or rarely used) Badalamenti tracks and I always thought it was a nice nod to the "there's always music in the air" line.
Meanwhile….AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Plaid Cooper was OK (even Albert thought he pulled it off) but nothing beats OG Coop.
I was 14 at the time, but I watched every episode in my bedroom with rabbit ear antennas and sat through the post-murder reveal episodes, and Earle was just too campy and fun for me to not like.
I think when you've got a guy living in a log cabin, getting faxes and making pre-Photoshop decks of cards with people's…
I felt bad for the people that were so into the show they recreated the chess board and got all into it and then the writers got bored with it and decided (as Coop put it) "[He's] playing off the board." Which basically meant, screw all this chess board noise.
Laura said it best, "James is sweet, but he's so DUMB."
Ontkean still visibly held back a laugh.
I really really hope they find a way to get everyone together for more than three scenes. Splitting them up more often than not didn't work.
"Could you leave us alone?"
"Jim."
"Could you leave us alone, Jim?"
The Nadine stuff was bad, but when Nadine wins second place in the cheerleading contest and comes in to interrupt Ed and Norma is bed, and they keep passing around her trophy is pretty damn funny.
