No odds on Jon re-taking the black and moving north? I say Dany is preggo so that + jon’s oath makes him not kill her. Cut to black, 9 months later, Dany has baby on the iron throne. baby does baby shit for a brief sec with dany looking down motherly then pow! baby takes off its face and it’s actually arya and she

The Iron Bank sees all kinds of real estate opportunities. Fleabottom becomes ‘FleBo’, and the coffee shop up north where Dany got her cup two weeks ago opens up a southern location.

The music was great, wasn’t it. They put the “Night King” up on the internet from this season and I’ve been checking back almost every day for music from “The Bells.”

I agree the execution wasn’t great, I’m specifically commenting on this column:

“Daenerys had no strategic reason whatsoever to massacre a town full of innocents after they surrendered...”

She definitely had a strategic reason to massacre a town full of people. They didn’t surrender when she rode up to her gates and demanded it. They chose to resist, raise armies, and fight her.

The purpose is so

“She has a choice to 1) Take what she has always wanted by flying straight to the Keep and killing Cersei or 2) Give her main rival a (slim) chance of escape to inflict inhuman cruelty. She chose cruelty over the throne.”

What’s the point of taking the throne if the kingdom is in a constant state of revolution. She did

People should be less concerned about how a herpes diagnosis might effect their (future/potential/current) dating life and more concerned about how it will effect your confidence, your mental well-being and your normal, every day life. Sex and romantic relationships are way over rated. Learn to be real happy alone.

We’ve always seen the tale told from the perspective of the leadership. For one big episode we saw what it was like to be a citizen on the ground during an overwhelming and terrifying siege from a ruthless aggressor. The point of view was a good choice, and after Dany went fire happy, they never shifted to her

They failed to clearly communicate two things:

- that Jon’s rejection of her gave her no future as a queen, even one shared with Jon as King.

I didn’t think it was nearly as bad as everyone is saying. The worst part for me was Euron vs. Jaime, the battle no one asked for.

I liked it. This story HATES monarchs and doesn’t believe in heroes or benevolent dictators. D&D aren’t as elegant as Martin will be about the ending but it worked for me. Felt like the Red Wedding and Ned’s beheading all at once. But I understand that many folks will disagree. People who get MAD!!!!! at entertainment

(on Vietnam): The U.S. burned villages because they believed they posed a threat.”

Yes, then it could have ended w/ Dany saying “Jeepers, I almost went all Mad Queen-y! Thank goodness I didn’t do THAT CRAZY THING!” and Jon could have married her and they could have been aunt/nephew husband and wife and adopted Arya and the little waif kid and then happy ending!
Why didn’t they just go that route?

Literally the only reason why I’m reading these comments.

Drogon never had a better day.

I said to my wife when the bells started ringing, “What none of these idiots realize is that dragons hate bells.”

So sad to be right. :(

All week I’ve been perplexed by so many people complaining that the show all of a sudden started hinting that Daenerys was a mad queen. They’ve literally been building this up for the entire show!
