You can buy a great quality used Nikon macro lens (manual focus) for around $50. Unlike with lesser brands, most old manual focus Nikon SLR lenses work great on modern Nikon DSLRs. Macro photography is mostly manual focus anyway, so you don't lose anything in using an old cheap lens.
