Gosh, I use mindmapping software too. But this really is a tad of overkill. Personally I use a wiki, PmWiki to be exact. Its OS agnostic and is focused to writers. Once you got the wii syntax down putting together good looking notes is quite easy. A few tweaks and I have a polished note ready for web publishing.
