So... your argument is that we shouldn’t make laws because people will break them? Do people who make this absurd argument do it intentionally are do they not realize it’s a stupid argument?

There’s an easy way to get around designing around a specified item. Make a law that mandates a firing rate no faster than X. That way, you can try to modify it any which way you want, if it fires faster than X, it’s illegal.

As an attorney, my best advice to you is find an attorney who isn’t just a volume real estate attorney. Those types of attorneys will charge $300 and they’ll never meet you, they’ll just hand you a bunch of documents at the closing and you’ll sign them. No explanation and you won’t be able to ask intelligent questions

It’s pretty obvious that National Taco Day should be a Tuesday. If every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, then the national day celebrating it should clearly be on that day.

A few of us went out lunch today specifically because it was National Taco Day. But, I have to question, why in the hell is it a specific date and not like the first Tuesday of October (or any month).

Yeah, I don’t need to know the intricate details of a gun to know that plenary access to weapons by people who may be less than mentally stable is a recipe for disaster.

US corporations pay just below the OECD average of 25% (29% when the average is weighted). The top 500 corporations pay 19%, FAR below the OECD average.

You have to put money into the hands of consumers, and that means the poor and the middle class because they spend nearly 100% of what they earn.

Of course insurance companies can’t lower it to an amount that is truly absurd. But, based on numerous surgeries I’ve had, it’s not uncommon to see a $50,000 bill paid out to tune of about $10,000. That’s some pretty big leverage to get an 80% discount.

What you’re describing is a layer on top of the arbitrary charges that hospitals can just dream up.

It’s really not the hospitals, per se. The reason hospitals have to charge what they do is because of the number of people who don’t have health insurance and/or cannot afford the treatment.

Absolutely. Or Judge Roy Moore and his antics.

As nice as it is to dream about, it can definitely be used for evil.

Take your meds.

Did you know that words can have more than one meaning? I know this must be an earth shattering revelation, but it is true.

You say “most often” like you have any actual data to back up that assertion. Do you have any data? Because, I think you might be pulling that out of thin air.

You’re irony impaired, aren’t you? You go on a diatribe about condescending to people in a diatribe where your words are dripping with condescension.

Canada loves highly educated immigrants who can pay taxes, as do most European countries.

I have a Z Wave lock on my front door and getting another for my back door. These are, in my mind, infinitely more secure than traditional locks because they tell me the current status of the lock, they tell me when they are locked or unlocked and unless the Z Wave signal is intercepted (which means someone would have

If you have the income, I agree, to some extent. I’m a tax attorney and my wife is a physician, we work between 10 and 14 hours per day. So, we’re forced to buy our downtime by hiring out services like lawn care, cleaning, plowing, etc.
