I too have specific beefs with Winter Soldier despite it being a damn good movie, and that is that they done Jasper Sitwell wrong. Honestly I’m not sure why Clark Gregg’s character wasn’t Sitwell from the beginning instead of the totally new Coulson, given his Iron Man history.

I can live with that, but then I’d still want to see an encounter with some TOS Klingons at some point

I mean, that’s the standard assumption, but man we’re talking about a pretty huge island. There are six parks and it can take days by train and horseback to reach the edge of just one? I think we’re looking at a future where China is leasing Australia to a corporation.

I’m pretty sure the scene with Bernard and the white dune buggy and the technicians was a callback to the original movie

There are untold numbers of former Baptists that switched to Episcopal services for this exact reason.

So all any attacker has to do is set a round to go off at one end of the building, ostensibly the end any resource officer is hanging around while he is at the other and now all the students will be locked inside with him. Yes this is a much better plan than gun control.

Do you know how much these are worth in Miami?

Ford talks early on in the season about how they’ve already nearly perfected human medicine by this point though. The main difference between hosts and humans actually seems to be in their brains and the extra “processing power” hosts have.

Seems like some of Jeffrey Wright’s conversations are likely Arnold flashbacks

Zechs is the Boba Fett of Char Clones, far above the rest and quite arguably better than the original.

It’s totally illegal, they’re just a shady group of Federation officials that interpret a line of the founding charter to imply they can do whatever they want. The fact that they’re well organized and have been at it for generations doesn’t make them legit.

“Hey there shipmate! I’ve been meaning to ask, why is your badge totally black? I’ve never seen that before.”

I’ve found this to be a largely generational issue. The comic shops with ties back to the 80’s and 90’s are way more likely to fit into the “comic book guy” stereotypes, The ones started more recently in the last 10-15 years have less baggage from the collectibles bubble and burst at the turn of the century, and more

All I can think about when I look at that is there’s no way to protect that thing when you drop it.

I was just thinking about this recently. I used to love that movie, it’s the reason I bought a peacoat and wore it for like a decade. I was flipping through my old movies recently and thought about revisiting it and then actually thought about everything in the movie and jebus I’m glad I never got those hand tattoos

I think you mean “That question is: Where did Leia get the Boushh disguise she wore to Jabba’s palace now that the answer given in Shadows of the Empire has been invalidated”

Irrespective of race, I’m glad there’s someone out there that shares my definitions on friends vs friendly acquaintances.

FYI, that Cracker Barrel is not “nearby” it’s a two mile hike on the other side of a mountain ridge (there’s a tunnel but still). Imagine if that was your commute home, on foot, in the middle of the night, after a 13 hour day, at Cracker Barrel.

This exactly. I would much rather know a potential date has violent tendencies/fantasies while I can still swipe left.

AR 100% stands for Assault Rifle, that’s just some coded bs. Like telling your teacher the 420 scribbled all over your notebook is just a reminder for when you need to take your allergy meds. Nobody was fooled there.
