Last Exit to Brooklyn was fucking heartbreaking. I don’t think I ever fully recovered.

She had just gotten back from the Middle East.

I’m still wrecked over Prince. He’s dead, Trump is President. For fuck’s sake none of that is right.

Re: Eminem and his beard

I’m sorry but that’s nonsense. Which papers are you reading? I’m a Londoner and we all accept there are risks to living in a big city (air pollution, crime, poverty, traffic accidents etc). However, there are some key issues to remember before you start mouthing off about ‘failure of multiculturalism’:

They already had it in the first movie. It was just, you know... parked. In the background.

“Henry Miller’s estate, for example, allows for all-black casts of All My Sons and Death of a Salesman.”

We all do :D

I suspect it was more a fashion thing than a deep belief thing. It kind of goes with the Madonna clock.

Just gonna leave this here.

One of the things many straight people don’t seem to understand is the difficulty of simply meeting other queer people and finding casual-ish interaction back then. There just weren’t a lot of places, even in big cities, to engage in behavior that among straights would simply be called looking for a one-night-stand.

Yes. The staffer responsible—who was on my himself, and posted the initial article around 1am—has been sent to blog jail.

God damn do I miss Defamer.

My dad was active in AA for the last 40 years of his life. A few years ago, when I was cleaning up his apartment after he’d died, I found his copy of “The Big Book” next to his bed, bookmarked with a ticket from the police: “Publicly Drunk - Fine $25.” That must have been a placeholder in more ways than one.

To the world’s detriment, there is only one Liam Neesons.

you arent.

The first part, the Offering to Baal, was sublime, but you could tell they were just going through the motions for the Sacrifice to Moloch.

Delivered with perfection by Miranda Otto. That scene is one of the most powerful in the whole trilogy (IMHO).

But in fact this isn’t an unpopular opinion. What it is, is White Supremacy at work. This is what people of color talk about when we say white people and white supremacy and white feminism.
