Riiiiight... so get rid of the smaller, safer, more fuel efficient cars, for the larger, less safe, less fuel efficient cars.
Got it.
Tell about more of your big brain ideas.

Not realizing that your decisions are unethical is not a defense.
The data of deaths based on car class should look at what kind of other vehicle was involved. Everyone trying to get into the biggest object because they know it will kill the people in the smaller object, is everyone racing to the bottom. All vehicles have become much safer these past decades, but just the size…
The non-hypothetical option.
There have been several articles on this site where there is a video of a SUV/CUV rolling over like a puppy wanting its belly scratched with practically any side impact. There was one that involved a motorcyclist who ended up sliding along on top of the rolled SUV. Add this one to the list.
Uh... what? We’re not playing the blame game on who ran what, and furthermore, who is to blame has absolutely no relevance whatsoever on the outcome of the accident. I’m simply pointing out that if the SUV had hit a regular sedan, or if it had been all sedans involved, no cars would have flipped, and no cars would…
similarly I imagine a lot of younger drivers dont exactly get a minivan as the first car recieved, but a car and we know that for a fact younger drivers do have more accidents.
People that drive huge SUVs and BroDozer trucks put other normal sized vehicles on the roadways at risk. Intentionally. That says quite a bit. The ethical implication of the decision to save yourself and your family while putting others at greater risk is very clear. Whether you choose to admit it or not.
Not worth your time Doc, you won’t be able to get COMTNDRVR to concede, he’s a contrarian.
“..So sure, it says a small amount about taller cars...”
Maybe they’re just casually trying to sneak off with the free car?
Facts. There’s a reason that sticker is on there. The only reason there are less deaths with SUVs, is that since they are more massive, they destroy the other things they hit. And the person in the more massive car gets less g force.
The quotes are parenthetical, for emphasis. Also, you are incorrect that “it says nothing” about modern SUVs.
“Taken as overall classes, the IIHS says minivans were safest (25 fatalities per million registered vehicle years), followed by SUVs (28 per million), then pickup trucks (52 per million), with the broad “cars” class rated most deadly (56 deaths per million.)”
Lemme give you an ‘anecdote’.
It’s not remotely anecdotal. Multiple studies have shown that SUVs are more likely to flip, due to their height, and that you are more likely to die in a roll over accident.
Hadn’t thought of that, I was wondering why it took them so long to stop. I freely confess I wouldn’t have had the presence of mind.
I’m going to call out the skill of the SUV that it landed on, for slowly coming to a stop, to avoid having the SUV on top sliding off, and worsening the situation. That’s some Jedi level stuff there. Good driving!
Further proof SUVs/trucks are simply too big. They’re extremely rollover-prone, and will flip over in accidents that a normal sedan would stay firmly planted.
