Why was he in his grandparents’ backyard? It seemed like he had a lead and he just kind of waited as the cops closed in. Why didn’t he go into the house? He had to have know the police were following him with the helicopter.

This is just temporary. The Powers That Be were probably starting to feel the shutdown financially so they made a few calls. (Airlines close to shutting down has to be a big deal to the movers and shakers.) They could change airline employees from non-essential to essential and start this all over again.

Fuck that! All the songs or none of the songs. If they want to make the show shorter don’t air all the Oscars for editing, screenplay, costumes, etc. Or air those as a separate show. The average viewer is only interested in the bigger categories.

The only fair thing to do is to let the Rams and the Saints in the Super Bowl. I don’t think anyone will care if the Pats are left out in the cold.

The NFL is probably salivating over a Rams/Chiefs rematch. I’m sure that factored into that call.

Thinking about it, the refs probably are going to try to help KC and the Rams get to the SB. Their regular season game was incredible, and the NFL would most likely do everything in their power to get a rematch.

Just heartbreaking.

I think this is unconstitutional. This has been long established that not providing medical care to prisoners is cruel and unusual punishment. I wonder who decides what employees are essential.

I always thought there were two categories: essential and non-essential. The first still works and gets paid during a shutdown and the second doesn’t work and doesn’t get paid. How can there be essential employees that don’t get paid? I imagine when the airlines start to get affected the shutdown will end. How can

Did anyone else see that fake punt coming? It’s fourth and one and this is a coach that called for an onside kick in the Super Bowl. I think not taking that 10 yard penalty is what really hurt the Eagles. After the Saints converted that the momentum was pretty much all Saints after that.

The NFL latest trend is to get a coach who can groom the QB in an aggressive attack offense. The teams are going all-in on this formula. They are looking at KC and the Rams and with all the rule changes that are designed to protect ball handlers it’s going to be the model for the next five years or so.

I think this was the right move for the Browns. you don’t want to bring in anyone outside the system right now; you’d want to keep the momentum going. Kitchens was the main reason the Browns started winning, with the more aggressive play calling. Of course the Browns have had some success over the past 20 years, but

I guess there were a bunch of head refs that retired this year and that’s why things are so off. Still sucks though.

Here’s what I’m wondering.....why was that play even reviewed? Did they need to make sure it was an incomplete pass or if it was a completed pass/fumble that no one recovered because the ref was right there blowing his whistle and so we’ll rule it an incomplete pass? What was the point?

The Browns left Cleveland, changed their name to the Ravens and won a Super Bowl. We’ve been there.

I wonder if a shooting by an officer who’s working in uniform at a wedding or as security counts as a police shooting. We had one in Cleveland back in March at a nightclub. Now that I think about it it seems odd that police can work on the side in their uniforms.

So they lost twice to the Steelers and twice to the Texans in the playoffs. It probably gets to be a mental thing at some point.

Is that $35 a person or vehicle? I always thought there’d be no admissions charge.

I’m thinking something happened in the store. They’ll have a video of him soon.

I hope the NFL changes the rule about premature whistles. The Browns should have been able to run a recovered fumble back for a TD. They would have won the game (most likely) and the Steelers makes the play-offs.
