The rich white people I’m talking about aren’t the ones who got elected, they’re the ones who funded the campaigns.

From my vantage point, a white 59 year old who’s been almost as disappointed when Democrats win as when they lose, I would argue that it’s a “RICH white people run the federal government” problem. As long as rich people are allowed to pay for campaigns, they’ll continue to be the only constituents who matter.

I wouldn’t recommend doing anything that impedes your ability to escape, such as pulling over and would advise not doing anything to let on that you suspect you’re being tailed, since that might precipitate a response you’re not yet prepared for.

I’d swear I’ve made this same point here before, but I think the rescue boats they certify to use in the north sea go through a much more rigorous version of the same test: dropped upside down from a crane and has to right itself within a preset time frame.
