Good thing, then, that's it's not available for the iPhone. Although even if it were, your statement would still be untrue.

Rules of Play is great. It's not something to simply gloss over. It is however something to absorb with a lot of coffee.
I really have to pick up his other stuff at some point.
...and SCAD and The Art Institute of Atlanta. They're not all textbooks from the degree program though.
It really is, and there's a really useful supplementary deck of cards you can either purchase or download for free as an app on iOS and Android.
My two favorites from that list aren't explicitly about games: The Design of Everyday Things and Understanding Comics. They do however, further your understanding about design in general. After reading the former, I started really looking at all the useless buttons everything has.
I currently do both. I write and design games. It's the best of both worlds, truly.
It's part of an entire degree program in game design. Let me see if I can compile a list of all the books I can remember.
Most of these are about game design, or can influence game design:
That's actually one of our textbooks. It is a great book.
It's been awhile since I read SoS, but he could be doing it because she saved his life once and he's just repaying the favor.

A lot of which have tight mechanics and are simply a lot of fun. Vlambeer especially does this style well. I get that you don't like them, but aesthetics aren't everything. Your implication is that games are good or bad based solely on looks, because the games you're referring to reach across different genre. The…
There was a long period of time when all games looked like this. They certainly weren't all crappy. This is nothing like the WWII FPS trend; "pixelated" isn't a genre>
This is one of those games that I can't believe doesn't get more attention. Vlambeer's games are always so inventive and mechanically tight. They're easily one of the top developers of the past few years. Playing as the chicken is brilliant.
So you're basing your opinion off of the fact that you've played it?
I love when things like this are announced less than a year before release. I think it's the right way to reveal things sometimes. I hate when it's "Awesome Game 2...coming soon...in 2018!"
Again, I'm talking about the people who are left to grieve. So being that no one on this forum treats their kids like shit, it's somehow "classy" to make bad jokes about people who do?
I've had different experiences with death than I imagine other people have. I'm not easily offended, but treating tragedy callously always pisses me off. There are things that have happened twenty years ago I still can't joke about.
I agree. But with the information we have, if the story IS true, these people were likely mentally ill. That's my take based on what we've even seen here in this country. There are 23 suicides a day by vets, and the likelihood is that the chemistry in their heads has gone awry.
