As a Christian myself who is very active in his church and community, I have long taken these verses to heart when faced with a loss of property. It happens, and it’s tragic, but our treasure and purpose should be focused heavenward.
As both a human being and a Catholic I shared in the horror and heartbreak at the destruction caused by the fire, knowing great and long-standing works by people built to celebrate God and express their love for Him were being destroyed, and could never be replaced.
Why would you want to do that to yourself? I’m as excited as the next mammal for Endgame but I actually want to be completely cogent for it not half insane on lack of sleep and a diet composed entirely of partially inverted sugar syrup and reconstituted meat sticks.

Someone noted when their plane was delayed on the tarmac for an hour that since people were able to use their phones everyone was calm and relaxed. Thus smartphones are pacifiers for adults.
