Definitely on my list, but I thought that title was reserved for the Jaguar E-Type...

And what about the Shelby Cobra? Aww, man, there's just too many awesome cars.

Feels weird to not have the 911 and the DB5/DB6 on this list. I'd be tempted to swap them for the Mini...and the Veyron, maybe. Significant, yes, both of them, but significant enough to rank in the top ten cars an enthusiast should know? I doubt it...

Scotch eggs are all over the place in Britain, common fast fare at a convenience store or the front coolers at a grocer's. Good cold and industrialized, they must be incredible homemade and/or fresh. One of those things that you look at, and realize in its brilliance that a) you should have thought of it first, and b)

Ick. I certainly hope not—Jaguar is probably my favorite automaker after Aston Martin, and I'd hate to see it go.

It should be noted that it's not like JLR is a drain on Tata's finances. In fact, over the past few years as I recall a huge portion of Tata's revenue and profits have come from JLR, and it's partially offset the disaster of some of Tata's other projects. Which is to say, quality control improving or no, I severely

This is one of the few cars that I think looks better in coupe form over convertible. And when it comes to the coupe, the 190SL doesn't hold a candle to the Gullwing, I'm afraid...'tis a pity.

Oh, that's rather lovely! Wish they had come over here—I want one!

I confess I've been harboring a terrible temptation to buy a project-car XJS V12, because, well, V12, and Jaguar, and $1500-2000 in my area. How bad *could* it be? No manuals though, which is a pity.

Now if just World Market would carry my favourite British snack-addiction, Bassett's Jelly Babies...

Oh, so lovely. I've wanted one of these ever since someone linked to an image of a 504 estate in British Racing Green...

I'm sorry, could you post a less lovely photo of the 2000GT? I think this is the photo that finally convinced me that Jaguar's E-Type is indeed pretty than the 2000GT.

No thanks. Keep the porn off of Kinja. Even if it's meant as a joke.

Oh so lovely. Although, I have to confess, I'd have my ideal 250 California SWB in a different colour, maybe black...

Sad. No way for Opponauts or long-term commentariat to get automatic approval for comments?

In a Tesla, a 'complete vehicle' prototype (complete mechanically) may or may not be functional—the software forms a pretty large part of the system, and may not be finished until well after a physical car is built.

You're probably seeing the Lightweight lines in this design. the original Lightweight cars were faster but somehow not quite as lovely as the production models. The roofline is lower, some contours just not quite precisely the same.

Simple, classy, old-fashioned, and rather British:

Infiniti offers a great version of this under the name 'Midnight Garnet.' Subtle, but certainly not anonymous.
