Man, this is like bitching that the Pawn Stars guys are ripping off people trying to sell valuable antiques to a pawn store. I just don't get the ire over low ball offers. You want to make money selling something? You got to put in the effort and time yourself. If you take it to someone, don't get all butthurt because

I've got a 1970 Buick Riviera I'm dd'ing while my wife's Scion sits in body shop hell and she has possession of the pickup for carting around the kiddos.

No fart can, no sale!

Pretty sure that's a foot rest. You can't see the long skinny peddle because it is hiding behind the bottom spoke of the steering wheel.

This complex recently (within the last couple of years) changed hands and the new owner(s) have done a lot of work on the grounds. As few as 8 years ago I would have said stay away, but it's quickly becoming a regular weekend destination for our family.

And all those weekend warrior track cars floating around the 'burbs are built by completely normal, well-endowed, mother loving 'Muricans?

or if you don't want to scratch the paint

Oh absolutely. But if my bumper is a quarter-inch off square because the frame on my old truck isn't as straight as it once was.... I'm not building a six-figure show car here. I just want something, fast, loud and fun.

On the flip side of this is that sometimes my "good enough" isn't quite up to the professional standards my father-in-law instilled on his little girl. And that's kind of annoying. :/

I put a hamster in mine. He ain't quite right anymore.

No compressor in the under hood shot.

Its a bimmer for less than $2k. Was there ever really any doubt? Most pointless NPOCP EVAR!

How exactly the CT6 will be marketed with a V8, I do not know.

Should have given it a DARE paint job. Nobody would have batted an eye.

This is an awesome event and I hope someday to get to visit in person. I'm, frankly, jealous that you got to attend on someone else's dime. But, I'm going to disagree with it being the "best car event, period."

This!

Unlike when I bought my Scion (its a Camry drivetrain wrapped in cool kid's clothes!), I doubt that Pontiac dealers were advertising the Vibe as a Matrix with a GM warranty. I generally try to be an optimistic person, but when it comes to people buying stuff I believe [most] people don't usually do their homework.

I think part of the problem lies in the fact that nobody really knows what's impacted, and there's no real easy way to figure out which cars are "on the list." Its just so far spread out nobody has the ability to say "GM is killing you" or "Toyota doesn't care for your safety" or "BMW wants your lease payment more
