The fact that Rivian has functioning prototypes takes them from vaporware to start up.

It’s frustrating that Carfax reports have such a major impact on the value of a used car. Extremely minor stuff can end up on your report and cost you thousands of dollars in lost value - and at the same time major damage that isn’t reported to the cops or insurance doesn’t end up on the reports. It’s worse than

One note on Carfax: it doesn’t understand how to handle moves.

Bring back a low-slung, squarish Lincoln coupe and drop this beast in it... and you got yourself a Hot Rod Lincoln...

The idea is not new.

Yea, looks like your dad is a bad apple? Minority officers are the only ones who keep it real?

Let’s start the chant now... “Le-gend... Le-gend... Le-gend...”

Yea you are right. They are all out there just shooting the public, raping innocent women, throwing babies into ponds for fun, burning down every house they see, and spray painting everyone cars.

LOL. Good lord, you just compared Russian nuclear scientists building a weapon of mass destruction with Sergio? May you be forever sentenced to life driving an Orange Fiat 500e with a deteriorated battery pack.

I love Acura’s new design language. Long. Low. Wide. Crisp and tight.

Just an FYI, most of the smart fleet managers at police deptartments don’t actually pay anywhere near MSRP on cruisers before upfit. They usually send out a bid package and fleet companies compete to win based on price and services. There’s an entire market and separate set of pricing for government agencies.

I dont get the hate on cops. Like 0.1% are doing weird/bad stuff but in general their job is to find people not obeying the law. It is what they care about.

Probably not much, if anything. Add a bunch of weight to a Forester, and it gets pretty dismal fuel economy. Like mid teens on the highway, once you load up the back and put a cargo box on the roof. And at that point its dangerously slow. Then there’s the extra engineering for driving up curbs at speed, or taking a 75

In my opinion it doesn’t matter whether it’s 3 or 4 doors. I can only look at one side at a time and I’m not the one getting in the back seat.

Not much different from second generation VW vans or early American minivans - balance the number of doors with the actual needs, save a few bucks and add a little bit of structural rigidity.

Cheers!

Going on the record as a fan. Don’t own one. Makes sense to me as a way to do something different in a world of same, and it genuinely splits the difference between the extra style (and structural rigidity) of a 2 door and the extra function of 4, i.e. driver’s side looks like a 2 door, but still easier and more

All I know is it confused both my adult daughters and that has provided endless amusement on my part. :-)

Elantra GT exists for people who just want a four door. Hyundai uses it to have something nobody else offers with the Veloster.
