I thought we were talking about low end, not idle RPMs. Modern turbos come alive at 1,500-2,000 RPMs, where an NA engine (unless huge displacement) is still sleeping.

Heck no. V6 accord sedan weighs 300 lbs. more than the NA I4. A turbo kit shouldn’t weigh more than 100 lbs.
Low end power is what turbos are all about
I’d say the turbocharged 4 cylinder engines are way better than the NA V6s. Especially in a FWD family car. You save hundreds of lbs over the front axle for starters
Great. 190 hp is plenty fun with a manual. Lighter engine = better handling
190 hp is plenty fun with a stick
I’m really curious what the take rate on the Accord Sport 6 speed is. If I was in the market for a family sedan, it would be at the top of my list. Honda gets major props from me for still offering that.
So in other words it will understeer even faster now? Yay?
* pinches self *
No, still in this nightmare where I see more ugly ass X6s than X5s.
I wonder how much wear this puts on the rear brakes. I mean, in order to keep the car stationary you must apply some brake but at the same time you’re spinning the rear tires like crazy.
Pull in clutch? Pffft neutral is your friend.
If the Goldwing is full grandpa, so’s the Pacific Coast!
Now I’m worried that the goddamn terrorists will take that as a dare. As we’ve seen across the world, it’s impossible to stop an attack by people who don’t even care about their own life.
It’s sad when cars grow up, but at least the new 911 still resembles the fun version from 15 years ago. Compare a new M3 or M5 with a 15 year old version and the only similarity is engine in front and RWD.
Montana used to kinda have no speed limits on certain roads between ‘95 and ‘99. Not unlimited speed like parts of the Autobahn though.
I weigh 230 lbs. with full gear, and I ride the cb500x (430 lbs. wet) which has a similar engine, tuned to make its power at higher revs than the rebel. I have no problems hitting 70 mph although the engine runs at 5,800 rpm at that speed. Top speed is probably 100 mph against the limiter at 8,500.
Shin splints? From pushing a clutch? I’m sorry you suffer from brittle bone disease.
People who drive automatics don’t generally get criticized here. Just the morons who say manuals suck.
Stop and go sucks in everything. Might as well get some left leg exercise.
How the hell is the Wrangler clutch not sealed in?
