Yes, they are tested to be proven as such. They are literally handed to a room of kindergartners and told to open it. They are arent given instruction, and it is a very controlled testing procedure. For whatever reason... I once read thru the entire protocol, it was very interesting. (I work at a pharma company

I work at a pharmaceutical company, my office is loaded with these types of bottles - I just grabbed one off the shelf and it is indeed effective. Though, I'd say - anyone with the strength and precision and agility to pry that off - probably wouldnt have a problem twisting a child-resistant cap. I guess its a good

Facebook's normal search feature kinda sucks. Searching for actual people is next to impossible.... if you tried to search John Smith from Topeka Kansas or 32 years old or born in Victory, Alabama or works at Walmart or went to Harvard - the search bar will not recognize anything other than the name. Its sorta

I'm gonna guess that the Lifehacker fan base isnt the most fashion forward group (I'm speaking with some snide sarcasm, as I am an avid reader here too)... but I'll give you a better tip on being fashionable. Unless you're talking about work jeans or something like that (if you're a construction worker), dont go

You left off part that I'll assume: Dell once sent my family two computers .... "and we kept them". What happened after you brought it to their attention, did they not ask for it back? Sorry, but keeping it - something that valuable nonetheless, is just skeezy. I believe a postage page sticker is even included

If its networked, why would it need to be portable. I'd like portability only for the grab-n-go aspect in case of an emergency. I prefer it be 'safe'. Not sure if heat and ventilation will be a non-issue, but I'd rather build this inside a small fireproof safe if possible.

if Christians are correct - you are screwed, because blasphemy (continued unbelief) is the ONLY unforgivable sin. If you don't understand that - google it. I'm not on Lifehacker to preach, but thats the word.

No, its because its a very long exposure.... its a several minute exposure, so it needs many seconds of the flashlight exposure (based on the light's intensity) AS WELL as ambient light and the model standing still to expose the image.

There is no combination in post - this is ONE long exposure.

I've gotta agree with this, though I'm sure google would defend themselves by pointing out that most of those services dropped were still only in beta modes. That being said, even gmail was in beta up until like a year or so (dont quote me - but it was surprisintly, relatively recently)

So you honestly cant remember? If I had to guess, based on other information you provided - it would have been 4 (or more) years ago.

On my house (recently purchased) I have 2 dishes on my roof, one pointing each direction - Dont know why, or what services they are for (I use cable) ... but ... for that reason, I'll call this an unreliable method. Uh, how about ....um... the sun.

My free idea I'll broadcast to the world so maybe it gets done, at the security lines, they should have flat rate postage boxes available for purchase if you have an item you need to ship home that isnt allowed to fly on carry-on. I've had a sealed bottle of hot sauce bought as a gift confiscated, so lame.

I dont know about giving, but I have told a girlfriend - if you're going to get me any book or cd or dvd buy it used from amazon - because that's what I do when I buy for myself.

Yes - they will cancel it for any bullshit reason they can think of and you wont be compensated - they also dont necessarily have to get you on the exact time that you are booked for. They have enough disclaimers to cover themselves. I've never heard of anyone I know (and in my company we travel plenty) being

Removing store alarm tags. Not for the dark side, but this has come in handy the several times I've bought clothing and they forgot to take off the store alarm tag and didnt notice until I got home. Wrap a rubber band between the two pieces of the alarm tag (so it will be between one side of the tag and the

Simple and effective, very nice tip, I like this.

This is another simple yet effective tip on LH lately. Nice. And once the used ones dry up... you have a new supply. :P

Dear god, you just went there. Lol

Simple, but useful tip
