I've never seen block-sugar, but if this cheese grater tip is an uncommon hack - how else is someone 'supposed' to use this sugar. In other words ... "what did we do before Lifehacker told us the cheese grater hack?"
I'll second that - they only give when asked here in New York.
I had a situation parking in Queens New York parking on a very crowded street. From what I assessed someone parked VERY close behind me- their bumper touching mine, literally (I cant believe they left it like that) including two little license plate screw imprints on my bumper. But here is the thing - someone then…
Yes, in the license-plate/home-phone/work-phone database of course.
Ok - if we are talking about people who do something clearly being an ass thats one thing - but: "You finally find a spot in a packed parking lot and somebody's parked over the line so you can't fit. "
Make a suggestion - I literally cannot think of another less invasive method they could do while ensuring security. The body scanners are pretty non-invasive. Its annoying, and needless to say a little odd that someone in the backroom is seeing you nekid (I can assure you after the first 100 or so people they saw,…
Old Post is Old. Do Lifehacker writers and editors actually read Lifehacker? I learned of this 'tip' a couple years ago ON lifehacker.
quinoa? how the hump did that make this list. I had to google what it is.
Unless you've got excellent control and knowledge of your SLR (or even a point and shoot) - keep the sun OUT of the pictures. It will be almost impossible to get a balanced exposure, you'll get a complete silhoutte (unless thats what you want - dont bother). Keep the sun out of the shot - it will be better. And…
This is the best way to have your SLR set. Center-point focus ... ALWAYS. NO pro doesnt shoot this way.
Couldnt agree more - I shoot with an SLR and even pros dont often think twice about their lens cleanliness. On a point and shoot camera though it becomes a bigger problem because point and shoots are using ridiculous apertures like F50 - things youve never seen before. Whenever a point and shoot is having a blur…
If your camera has a white balance (or sometimes called 'Color temperature') setting - try out some other settings to see which one gives you the best light. The color of the bulb wont matter at all if you have your white balance set to match it.
Better advice is to stay out of the sun. People intuitively think they need as much light as possible so they go right under the sun to take a pic. Whenever possible, when its bright out... go in the shade. On a bright day, a shaded area will have some of the best light as the tree and ground become great diffusors…
Ditto... Reflective tape would be more effective - less ghetto and wont hurt resale value
Lol... was just thinking the same thing.
You guys arent devoted enough LifeHackers... they've posted apps like this before.
I never liked Rosetta Stone, I never found it effective. And a side note - anyone who has used it - especially Lifehackers probably laughed at what this $300 software actually looks like. Albiet, maybe its effective for some people but the interface looks like old school Prodigy (remember...pre-AOL) software. I…
Very very similar to a Shootsac, but this one is terribly large and hideous. Its like walking around with a flattened refridgerator box.
If I was ever interested in doing this - I wouldnt be now after reading the commentor who said he no has close to a million worms. It sounds like a horror movie.
