@lagrasta: True, it should be more specific. Though "small subset" is an exaggeration. I would guess that Canon probably owns at least 50% of the DSLR consumer market

@razordu30: Not sure why you'd want to shoot at ISO 3200, that camera doesnt do well even about like 800... the grain is terrible. I've never found a hack for getting video from that (and similar) models. The XT does NOT have live view, so getting video out of it I'm pretty would be absolutely impossible - the…
I had this idea awhile ago as something that Amazon should integrate. I buy from Amazon ALL the time, and I always hit $25+ in order to get free shipping. So when I'm less than $25 I just go thru my wish list and find something else I've been meaning to buy. It'd be great if it did that for you.
So you leave it in the paper wrapping? That works like that? I'm not exactly knocked over with a blast of freshness when I open my bathroom cabinet where there is 20 bars of soap.
@ihityouinthenose: I have that bowl and its sturdy, it wont dent. But YES - this looks like a salad bowl.. real lame.
The coffee cup thing is ridiculous. If you just placed the lid right side up on the counter, the only part touching would be the bottom most rim thats about 1/100th of a mm thick... and does not touch your drink or your mouth.
What is the best way to backup the files? I have an external HD with maybe 50GB or so of photos. I'd like to make a hard backup, I have a DVD burner. Is there software that can automate it rather than me manually selecting exactly 4.2 (or whatever) GB that fits on the DVD and then remembering where I left off.
@tgrantt: So you're very good at your resolutions... you should make more aggresive ones :)
@not_a_virus.exe.vbs: Putting one degree on hold for another, you might regret that, man. Its a mistake a lot of people make - and they end up not finishing either. If you are more than half way thru the first degree - finish what you started, start the other one at the same time or as soon as you are done. Your…
@craiglloyd: Good luck Craig! It all sounds do-able. If you want to get in shape for Spring Break, you better start, like, right now.
@Duc: Lol, don't hold your breathe its unbelievable someone would use that.
How does this article not mention the wii at all :)
@tomsomething: Eh, I have a camera with a cropped sensor and don't own a 35mm, but I still think 50mm is better, 35 is a bit wide for portrait work. And best yet, for some reason a 50mm prime is significantly cheaper than a 35mm.
@tomsomething: I agree, the explanation of sensor cropping is not necessary. Odds are pretty good that anyone who owns a full-frame camera doesnt need this tutorial or that explanation, so simply they should say that 50mm prime lens is great... period.
I dont like the bait and switch headline about traveling for $418 ... because in reality you paid $418 in cash but you cashed in $6k worth of essentially "credits". If you opted for other credit card offers other than miles you could probably have gotten cash back on your purchases - so you could have been pocketing…
@JasonGW: Maybe it should be "Is this something I enjoy or will help me enjoy myself later?" For example - doing some hard work to get paid so that way you can retire early or take off from work next week, etc.
@The Tipping Pint: Maybe it should be "Is this something I enjoy or will help me enjoy myself later?".
@AΨB: We all had a big argument about that topic a few weeks ago, I forgot what the main thread was about.
Century 21 Dept Stores in New York are the worst! They treat you like a criminal when you return anything, inspect it so closely. They once showed a pair of jeans to the manager who said I hemmed them and wouldnt take it back. I didnt hem, and I actually dont even think it was ever hemmed. I even told him, the…
@grimjack28: Some people are just filling a pre-made graham cracker crust with Redi-whip and calling that a pie. Thank you for insisting on some decency and self-respect in a the tough CP industry.
