The best thing I've done with AHK is turn my Caps Lock key into an extra backspace key. I use it about as much as I use the regular backspace key.

I hate to find myself recommending a Norton product, but the UAC replacement from Norton Labs is awesome (and free, of course). I haven't had any problems with it. Hopefully this is what Vista SP2 will implement.
