That's an acceptable 'break' if it even was one - a kid watching another kid do farting sit ups would cause that exact reaction.

That really was an impressive save to counter what a massive flub it is to drop an f-bomb in the intro.

It was a cringey ending made even worse by Strong's pretty clear inability to hold it down vocally solo. The only slightly saving moment was Sasheer coming out for backup.

Right? The political stuff was better than usual this week, but holy hell did every single line of that sketch made me laugh so hard.

Poor Melissa Villaseñor. She gets into just a few bits and just gets to stand there and maybe say one line. Glad she was at least in the corporate retreat dirty jokes bit.

I kind of thought that was nearly intentional since her character kept changing her persona mid-sketch. Meh, whatever.

I love the combination of Obergruppenführer and John Smith. Couldn't go from completely German to white bread American any faster.

This. Season 1 when the prince came I believe they stated their rocket planes could fly from London to SF (I think, definitely NYC at least) in 2 hours.

Pretty sure in season 1 they referenced the Nazi's rocket-like planes traveling from London to I believe San Francisco in only 2 hours. Pretty certain on London and 2 hours, not sure if it was London to NYC or London to SF.

McKinnon's card #3:

I'd say Chance's music is so good that he can't let us down, but Twenty One Pilots, a band I've liked for years, played their worst songs and added some weird twists to their performances just for SNL that sucked even more. So I guess you never know.

Vanessa Bayer wasn't in any of the first episode. I think it's just gotten a bit crowded and some of the vets are mostly the ones given time off from the screen for the rest of the ensemble.

What a weird episode - sometimes delightfully weird, sometimes just awkward.

Yes, but in AV Club bizzarro world numbering, it is and isn't at the same time.

Kind of agree with the review. There's nothing else to watch on Sunday nights currently, so Westworld has my attention by default. Here's hoping we get a fuller picture of the characters and their world as this show develops.

I never watched it until mid-last season and got stuck in a Netflix binge. Inertia kept me going through the boring and obvious plot cycle that really began after the prison.

Plus all the spin-offs. How are there spin-offs? Why?

Abraham was a gimme kill. B-rate, tier two character with little significance and he got all lovely/sentimental in last season's finale. Plus, the show loves making strong female characters suffer, so screw you, Sasha.

Ho boy, that was a chore.

Yeah, guess in a couple years he has moved from baby faced to… young faced? I dunno. I first though UK McLovin, but that's a bit harsh. He's a better looking fellow than that.
