That photo above? It's almost exactly what he was able to grab directly from the camera.

He has developed a signature style, that's certainly true.

Would you like some picture with your photoshop?

I'm certainly not "one of the best car photographer", but maybe some people will appreciate my last car pix. So I'm sharing some with you ;-)
At first, I'm a MTB & sports photographer and I've just started with cars. One brand especially: Porsche. Old ones. Really enjoy it.

Matthew Everingham is another one from Australia, and is Sydney, NSW-based. (Easton Chang is in NSW too, but is based in Newcastle, about 2hrs drive North. Mitch Hemming is based in Queensland).

Love Linhbergh and Jeremy Cliff's work! Especially the ones that Jeremy took of my rally mechanics...

What about larry chen?

Can most of this stuff be called photography? It's a lot of graphics, elements, digital filters...and it all looks so damned fake. Most of these examples were great Photoshops - but not photographs. And I swear, for the love of God, stop with the HDR. If your camera can't pull off 13 stops of latitude without trickery

All I'm seeing is 28 best Auto Photoshoppers plus 2 photographers.

All beautiful, but most look like they could all be taken by the same photographer. Extensive editing and software can create anything. This doesn't feel like real photography.

This will sound like I'm hating which I'm honestly not, but the list seems to be more like a list of 30 good photographers who are much better in photoshop. I'm not against photoshop, I just think at some point a photog is more of a digital visual artist than simply a photog. And yes I understand extensive

As a part-time automotive photographer I would have liked to see a more varied list, a lot of these have a reasonably similar style (lots of pp work, commercial/ad looking, unnatural lighting etc). But at the same time these guys are are great at what they do. Big fan of Linhbergh's stuff!

Sorry, but too few of these are actually photography for me and more editing. There are a few that if not radically edited, would be nothing special at all. There is some amazing photography in the mix, but a lot of it could just be done by someone with a few hours in Photoshop.

Mike Bourroughs of Stance Works fame is my favorite Automotive Photographer.

If you like Richard Thompson's work...check out the latest project we are working on

My eyes are hurting from searing Photoshop filters.

a lot of photoshop here... not photography.

What ?!?! No Jonsibal photography or Ronnie Renaldo Photography?? what gives?

Whilst I agree with many of those, no Tim Wallace and no Dean Smith? Show some love for the guys who don't process so heavily!

Am i the only one who misses photos shot with technical skill and lighting know how? i miss photos taken before everyone photshopped the piss out of their images with impossible lighting and lens flares out the wazoo. I know they're still out there but it seems like all that gets love on car sites is shit
