Oh, I doubt it’s a joke. I’ve had stories I wrote targeted by people who were big fans of a given technology before and were utterly enraged that I was unwilling to jump on the bandwagon to endorse the Next Big Thing that was absolutely 100% going to revolutionize [insert name here.]
“In what world is this pandemic over?”
*laughs*
The idea of Quake II as the best shooter of all time is hilarious, and I played it when it was brand new. Iconic for its time? Beyond a shadow of a doubt. But I’ll take Half-Life over Quake II, 10/10.
Maybe if Dems don’t want to lose, they should get their house in order and get some of their recalcitrant members of THEIR PARTY to support the things they, you know, promised to do if they got power.
Republicans get shit done because their membership knows if they step out of their Party line, political hell will reign down upon their heads.
expand the Supreme Court.
“as though they were totally incapable of action until they had a supermajority in every level of government.”
They can’t. That’s what makes all of this so asinine. Progressives blame the Democrats for not delivering their preferred policies instead of the GOP, because they know the GOP doesn’t care where the Democrats (supposedly) do.
I would argue that KOTOR works, specifically, because so *much* time had passed that the galaxy in that time period was an entirely different place. Just the existence of multiple Sith and the Mandalorians being a force to be reckoned with made it unusual relative to Star Wars games (what there were) at the time.
“Bricked: cause (a smartphone or other electronic device) to become completely unable to function, typically on a permanent basis.”
One person’s permanent is another person’s repairable problem, and I’m not trying to be pedantic. Let’s say (as an example) that you update the BIOS on your motherboard and do it wrong.…
For the record, I’m with you.
“Our history teachers often taught us about the tragedies of pandemics and wars, but we were once naive enough to think these things wouldn’t happen in our lifetimes... Perhaps the only difference between what we’ve already seen and what’s happening now is that it’s occurring in a predominantly white, Western country.”
I loved Avengers as a single-player title and had no interest in ever playing it as an online, perpetual service game. Approached from that perspective I thought it was fine.
I think my initial reply to you got eaten. At least, I can’t find it.
It’s not my place to tell you what is or isn’t sexy, but my problem with this video has nothing to do with the fact that she’s supposed to be doing a sexy walk. What she’s doing (I think) is called a sashay. It’s a walk with exaggerated movements of the hips and shoulders.
She walks like she’s missing structural components of her pelvis.
So her personal celebrity and wealth matter more than her ethics. Got it.
I’ve reread that portion several times now and I’ve not seen one mention that white people are incapable of such. Or that its a skill present in nonwhite people.
