Not paying your loans will destroy your credit score and ruin your finances. Student loans cannot be discharged in bankruptcy in most cases. They do not “go away.” 

I don’t support student loan debt cancellation without comprehensive reform of the student loan system. Cancelling debt for borrowers today while doing nothing for borrowers tomorrow risks that colleges will raise rates faster. After all, now they know the federal government will just write off the debt.

I always thought they were supposed to be dwarves, as-in, the fictional race of miners who work and sometimes live underground, have a masterful understanding of stone and precious gems, and are known for being industrious.

Brown might hold up, but according to reports, we have a school system just as segregated as the one in 1968.

There is no way this wasn’t going to happen. Emissions fell because people stopped using equipment not because people invested in higher efficiency. Then I realized exactly what it was I was getting excited about: a one-time order of four free tests per household, no matter how many people live in that household, two years into a pandemic that has killed more than 850,000 Americans.

I mean, don’t you need to be a little nutzso to either love or hate yourself - since you are both the subject and the object? Don’t you need at least two personalities to pull that off?

Simple. Instead of saying “you should love yourself!”, tell them the reasons why you love them.

I had never heard Chinese opera before this. If I am being honest, I do not like it much. But I would never mock or denigrate another culture’s art just because I don’t personally like it.

According to this article from InsideHigherEd, legal experts are split on whether Biden has the authority to unilaterally cancel student debt or not.

This is a terrible idea, not because I’m opposed to “wokeness” but because Microsoft’s grammar checker can’t be trusted in the first place. If the tool can’t accurately check grammar, how the heck is it going to check word choice?
