“We feign outrage over the gender disparity in who remains out of work and yet fail to include those millions of unemployed women in our unemployment numbers, as though their return to unpaid care work inside the home was in fact what was always expected of them.”

Energy demand per home has risen as homes get larger. Square footage difference is the #1 reason why homes in America are so much less efficient than dwellings in Europe. Our houses are much bigger.

Apparently it ignores INI files if they are not part of a .PAK file. That’s what I’ve read. Don’t know how true it is, but that would explain why nobody has published a straightforward guide to un-gimping FFVIIR yet.

I never bothered watching it.

I’m not angry at GRRM. It is fair to say I rarely think of him when unprompted to do so. And the man has the right to write or not-write anything he wants.

CPS might have asked for — “asked for” — permission to conduct a search.

“[B]ut to many more, the fact that a company who specializes in missiles and drones has a space division in the first place is troubling all on its own.”

Apologies for mislabeling your cousin as a brother.

I don’t know where you live, but my semi-rural experience has been quite different.

Charging infrastructure isn’t anywhere good enough to buy an EV as a daily driver unless you own your own home and can put a charger there. I rent. The closest place to charge is at a mall, 10 miles away.

It’s pretty easy to beat the Suicide Mission without any kind of help, provided you understand Bioware RPG mechanics or RPGs in general, namely: Side quests and loyalty missions are not optional for best outcomes and all upgrades must be performed.

“time to get rid of both parties I think.”

This would require a stem-to-stern overhaul of vote allocation in the United States. Votes for third parties are effectively wasted as anything but protest votes. I’m not going to say they have no meaning to people who cast them, but they don’t change the status quo very much.

“and Superman’s origins in war-time propaganda,”

Superman’s origins (pre-1940) have him being attacked by the National Guard while he does things like raze slums, forcing the government to build better housing for poor people.

They don’t overlook it. They don’t care.

#4 is the reason why some of the people involved believe he should be punished. There is a difference between saying “Punish this person,” and “Throw this person in jail for life.”

The median time served in state prison for murder and non-negligent manslaughter was 15 years according to the DOJ:

You’ll be missed.

Even if you are right, that might partly be because she has been treated like a child for decades.

Time’s Person of the Year is not about being moral. Hitler and Stalin both won it. Stalin won twice. So did Nixon and Kissinger (Nixon twice, Kissinger once). Ayatullah Khomeini won in 1979 and Newt Gingrich in 1995. Ken Starr *and* Clinton shared the honor in 1998. Putin won in 2007.

That’s a great fantasy to hold, but I think people are seeing firsthand in reality that power only ever corrupts.”

....wow.
