“My “favorites” though are the men 45-50 and over who say they want kids.”

As a 42 year-old man who has not yet had children due to various health issues with my partner and instability in my own life, this one hurt. There are people who *still* want to have children later in life, but were unable to do so when they

I like fall because it’s not as hot as summer nor as cold as winter.

I also wish she would stop because eating intuitively and learning your own hunger cues (or re-learning them) is how to get “healthy” and sustain health.”

or that the customization system enforces asset data constraints that allow any asset to be used on any skin tone with no additional work required by the modder (perhaps multitexuring /w alpha channels)“

And yet we all know what happened in 2010!”

Thank you for this. This bothered me a great deal.

You shouldn’t be worried. These temperatures are far within the norm.

I think it’s more like “America still sells the dream of upward mobility when the reality no longer exists.”

When every generation made more than their parents and lived in nicer housing, this idea didn’t come off as toxically aspirational.

It’s not obvious to me. I say this as someone who has never played the series, but I have absolutely no idea what you think the spoiler is. It looks like a moon with some art.

The GPUs died because of soldering flaws, not because of the game. Identical cards from other manufacturers didn’t die.

The only thing I know regarding WV voters is that it was once a Dem stronghold that has gone almost completely red, so I’m not trying to argue that I am an expert on the topic. My comment

Indeed. Though things have recovered for now. We just had the wettest July in history in the CDGA area.

“The notion that ending capitalism would end inequality is a strawman that noone here is seriously putting forward.”

The quote I initially responded to, by the author of the story, was “There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism.” That quote came with a link. I read the link. I then responded to both the quote

Data centers do not “use” water in the way people typically think. Google does not simply remove 1.25 million gallons of water per day. Water inside evaporative cooling systems is cycled, not pumped out again.

It might not be, if we were talking about 30 million cows versus 30 milli0n bison. But according to Google, there are ~1 billion cows in the world. That’s beef and dairy both.

I mean if capitalism greatly magnifies the issue then that’s a problem.”

You do not. Salary workers *can* be paid overtime, but you most certainly do not have to. It’s a complex topic and it varies by state. There have been some rule changes lately. For example, from Texas:

Salaried workers almost never get overtime.
