I’ve never played any of the Fallout games, and I’m rethinking that, now. Where the heck should I even start?

I would love to play a new RPG-based Fallout, but since Fallout 4 was a great shooter with a terrible, terrible set of RPG mechanics, I can’t say I trust Bethesda to produce one. And I loved FO3 and FNV.
And my god, while the racism is definitely present, there are certain things people don’t say.
I grew up in SW IN and lived in Louisville for six years. It’s not a word you hear much. At least, it wasn’t then.
You leave my great-great-great-great-great-however-many-great-times Uncle out of this.
(Seriously, distant relation. Only time I’ve ever seen anyone else name-drop him).
Barack Obama is doing the smartest thing he could possibly do and staying mostly silent, rather than attempting to inject himself into the political process and thereby provide a target and massive fundraising opportunity for the GOP.
Oh grow up! I’ll fucking swear if I want to fucking swear.
“I hated being judged unfairly!”
In a game universe where stuff like this is possible (if incredibly unlikely), don’t hand me the “Immersion” argument. Not unless we get patch notes that say you’re no longer allowed to exist and re-enter jets from mid-air.
But a press corp reporter asking a basic, easy fucking question, like “What did the President mean when he said that, and I quote, ‘All Mexicans are rapists’?”, getting stonewalled over bullshit, and then the entire room backing the original reporter? THAT’S THE PRESS CORPS’ FUCKING JOB! TO HOLD THIS ADMINISTRATION, E…
Sometimes, the best way to respond to something is not with rage and displays of anger that will simply get one fired, but with a tireless dedication to reporting on the actual situation without getting fired in the process. The people doing the job of working in the White House report back to news organizations and…
What do you think just happened here?
Journalist A asks a question. SHS dodges.
That would be ideal, but they clearly lack the spine to do it.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Well, there’s certainly no denying the power of politeness when wielded to devastating impact. ;)
“If you look at support based on policies, it’s overwhelmingly left-wing policies that are popular. “
That’s not exactly how “Come-to-Jesus” is used where I’m from (Kentucky). Specifically, they’re not always polite, and they may or may not involve ultimatums.
A “Come-to-Jesus” moment is a moment of epiphany and realization of truth. When delivered by someone *else*, it’s a declaration of how things area. It’s not…
Because while they themselves are not, their policies, their political philosophies, is the party itself. The party has not only embraced it but turned it into their one and only platform.
At the end of the day, I agree that a Joker without a backstory is the best Joker. I wouldn’t mind if a comic arc or movie nailed down some things about him, but the fundamental questions of how the Joker became the Joker should remain hidden.
The judgemental, black and white, almost blasé “fuck her” attitude is downright sickening.
