The truly telling thing about critics of the "liberal" MSM is that they inevitably prefer publications that are subject to the same critiques to a much greater degree, but cater to the critics' partisan preferences.

I don't have a fully formed opinion on this. How much should we rely on media outlets to refrain from publishing the names of anonymous people whose internet activity becomes newsworthy?

It's a little hard for me to separate the episodes. I think it took a little while to grab me.

Just more liberal incitement to violence. /s

I thought the 1st season of Broadchurch was OK, but it was outshined by some of the other hunt-for-a-murderer shows out there. There are so many of them now that each successive one has to really stand out. Seasons 1 and 2 of Bosch and Top of the Lake were the two best recent examples I can think of off the top of

WTF is that image? That's a Klingon now? I'm hoping it's just an unusual looking Klingon.

Houseruled is probably too generous. I just didn't pay attention to a lot of complications.

Sgt Peppers jumps the shark into silliness for me. Pet Sounds.

I only used GURPS Lite and I kind of made things up. I only used it once and I was the GM, so my impressions are probably unreliable on that one.

I never played Hero System. I just played GURPs because there's a free version online.

They're really insufferable, except for the Judith Light character. Season 1 was so good, but I don't know if I can spend any more time with the Pfeffermans.

D&D is such a clunky system. I've only ever played D&D and GURPs, but I found GURPs to be so much easier.

I highly recommend the Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project, if you haven't listened to it before.

Of all the horrible consequences of the 2016 presidential election, this may be the worst:

We really need to switch to steeply progressive consumption taxation.

I liked 5 a lot. I would say not to skip any of the books. They all have some real deficiencies and the series comes very close to jumping the shark multiple times, but I think the whole is much more than the sum of its parts.

There were also plans to do a series of movies and an HBO show that would tie together. That would have been amazing.

There's so much in the Dark Tower novels that would be hard to get right in a movie. The Crimson King was really silly in the books. Hopefully if they include that concept he is more of a background force.

I think this season would have been stronger without the romantic angle. It feels tacked on and kind of sad the whole time. Pining after an unavailable friend is a little depressing and that's how it played to me on this show.
